During the process of smelting aluminium alloy, hydrogen and oxide inclusions is the main material of polluting aluminum melt. Aluminum easily reacts with oxygen to generate Al2O3 or alumina (Al2O and AlO), and easily absorbs gas (H), whose content makes up 70-90% of gas total content in aluminum melt. However, the main defects of casting aluminum alloy is gas porosity and inclusions, which caused by the residual gas and oxide in aluminum alloy. During the process of specific smelting, these oxides and hydrogen are removed through various refining processes. And flux refining is the most widely used refining process. The refining of the flux is mainly based on the displacement reaction of the flux and the aluminum melt, as well as the volatilization and thermal isolation of the chlorine salt.
